How to set up a proxy in AdsPower, one profile or hundreds

Updated:

To set up a proxy in AdsPower, open New Profile (or edit an existing one), go to the proxy area, select HTTP, enter the host, port, username and password from your Vinaproxy.com order and click the proxy check. For large batches, AdsPower's import from a spreadsheet saves you from doing this by hand.

AdsPower, ad accounts and why the IP has to stay put

AdsPower is popular with performance marketers and e-commerce sellers: people running several Facebook or Google ad accounts, Amazon or TikTok Shop stores, and the teams of media buyers behind them. In that world an account that keeps showing up from new addresses tends to trigger security checks right when a campaign is spending.

A static proxy fixes the address for the life of the order. Give each ad account or store its own AdsPower profile and its own IP, and keep that pairing unchanged for as long as the account lives. Pick the IP country to suit the market and the business details on the account, for example a United States proxy for a US store.

AdsPower proxy setup for a single profile

In the profile form, the proxy part usually sits near the top, after the basic name and group fields. Labels can vary slightly between AdsPower releases. Take a line such as 203.0.113.10:8080:user123:pass456 and enter it as follows:

  • Proxy type: HTTP
  • Proxy host 203.0.113.10, port 8080
  • Proxy account user123, proxy password pass456
  • Then press Check Proxy; a working line returns the IP and its country

Importing many profiles with proxies

When a team needs fifty profiles at once, use the bulk import feature in the profile list. AdsPower provides a template file; each row is one profile and has columns for the proxy type, host, port, username and password. Copy your proxy lines from Orders, split them into those columns in a spreadsheet, then upload the file.

After the import, run a check on a few profiles picked at random before handing them to the team. A single misaligned column, such as port numbers pasted into the host column, breaks every row below it.

Team habits that keep proxies tidy

  • Use AdsPower groups per client or per market, and keep proxies from one country inside one group.
  • Give members access to the profiles they need, not to the proxy credentials themselves.
  • Keep timezone and language set from the proxy IP; a US ad account with a Vietnamese browser language raises questions.
  • Renew before expiry. You can renew only the proxies tied to accounts that are still active.

When an AdsPower proxy check fails

  • 407 or an authentication error: the proxy account or password field is wrong. Imported files often carry a hidden space at the end of a cell.
  • Check fails without a code or times out: the host or port is off, the type is not HTTP, or the order ran out. Compare with Orders.
  • Check succeeds but the country is wrong: test the same line in the proxy checker. Proxies showing the wrong location are covered by the refund policy.
  • Only some imported profiles fail: open those rows in your spreadsheet; one shifted cell is the usual suspect.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Copy proxies from Orders

In the Vinaproxy.com dashboard, open Orders and copy the proxy lines you need, one per ad account or store.

  2. 2

    Open New Profile

In AdsPower, click New Profile, or choose edit on a profile that already exists.

  3. 3

    Select HTTP

In the proxy area, set the proxy type to HTTP.

  4. 4

    Enter host, port and login

Type the host, port, proxy account and password from the line you copied.

  5. 5

    Check the proxy

Click Check Proxy and confirm the IP and country match the order.

  6. 6

    Review fingerprint basics

Make sure timezone and language follow the proxy IP, then save.

  7. 7

    Open the profile and confirm

Launch the profile and load My IP. It should show the proxy IP rather than your office connection.

  8. 8

    Scale with import

For many profiles, fill in AdsPower's import template with one proxy per row and upload it.

Frequently asked questions

Which proxy type do I select in AdsPower?

HTTP. Vinaproxy.com proxies work over HTTP/HTTPS with a username and password, so secure sites load normally. Choosing SOCKS5 makes the check fail.

Should each Facebook ad account in AdsPower get its own proxy?

Yes. One profile and one IP per ad account keeps accounts from looking linked by IP. It reduces risk, but no proxy guarantees an account will never be restricted.

Can I bulk import proxies into existing AdsPower profiles?

AdsPower lets you edit many profiles at once in most versions, but options differ between releases. If you cannot find it, updating the proxy profile by profile always works.

Private IPv4 or static ISP for AdsPower?

Both are static and dedicated. Static ISP IPs belong to consumer internet providers and suit sensitive accounts; private IPv4 is a solid default. Compare them in ISP vs datacenter vs residential.

What happens to my AdsPower profiles when a proxy expires?

The profiles stay, but they can no longer connect through that IP. Renew the order in the dashboard and the same IP keeps working.
